Moderated by Kellie McElhaney, Executive
Director of the Center for Responsible Business at the Haas School of
Business and hosted by the HP House & Garage in Palo Alto, the program
boasted a wide range of opinions ranging from David Green who called
himself the "CSR antichrist" to Sid Espinoza who argued that CSR and
philanthropy are mostly indistinguishable. The panel addressed various
topics including the changing role of philanthropy over time, generational
opinions on giving, philanthropy in pop culture, and potential gains
and subsequent motives of corporate donations.
