PR & Company has always taken pride in our cross-sector expertise. We’re thrilled that we continue to get the opportunity to dive deeply into a range of important issues and efforts from working with Artesia High School to promote their commitment to student success to partnering with the Kauffman Fellows Program to raise visibility for their innovative approach to venture capital and their commitment to diverse leadership.

Thanks to our unique cross-sector perspective, we were able to connect tech visionary and unconscious bias expert Laura Mather with Senator Holly Mitchell and the California Commission on the Status of Women to discuss how California can help advance women in the workplace. We hope this is the first of many public-private conversations that can drive real change for women working in every sector.

We’re excited to continue our longstanding relationship with the Partnership for Children and Youth, championing the importance of high quality summer learning for all California students at their annual Afterschool and Summer Challenge this May.

Our Talking About Equity podcast is back as well with a new episode featuring the Opportunity Institute’s Chris Edley. In this installment, Pat and Chris discuss equity’s role in civic engagement and advocacy, the legacy of Jim Crow, and more.

PR & Company is also pleased to welcome a new member to the team. Intern Anna Bernstein joins us with experience in public policy and international development gained first as a student at Maastricht University in the Netherlands and later through her work with the International Organization for Migration in Managua, Nicaragua. Welcome Anna!

Finally, a big shout-out to the Wiki Education Foundation, whose innovative programming won coverage in Pacific Standard and on NPR. Wiki Education’s unique model helps professors incorporate digital literacy skills into their curriculum while also improving one of our most popular public resources.
