Ideas that Build Movements.
We believe strategic communications doesn’t convey progress; it drives it. We’re constantly incubating, launching and growing new initiatives, organizations, campaigns and convenings to bring our clients’ – and our own – ideas to life to solve a problem, catalyze action and spur fresh thinking and innovation.
If something doesn’t exist, we build it. And we are practiced at unleashing our creativity and applying strategy, connections and communications to quickly turn ideas into action.
See how we've made a difference with ideas that build movements.
In collaboration with philanthropist and social entrepreneur Maureen Blanc, PRCO incubated and launched Charge Across Town and its flagship Electrical Vehicle Week program, the first-ever initiative to advance the adoption of EVs in the Bay Area through consumer education.
We’ve grown Charge Across Town from a good idea to a weeklong series of EV expos and activities that engage Bay Area civic, business and technology leaders, excite thousands of Bay Area drivers and advance solutions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
PRCO created The Good Business Network thought leader event series to network together nonprofits, civic leaders, social entrepreneurs, media, startups and grown-up businesses working for social good. Since 2006, we’ve hosted timely discussions designed to foster new thinking, connections and collaborations, and create demonstrable positive change.
Our events have featured everyone from Kenneth Cole, Robert Redford and Dan Pink to Eli Pariser, Van Jones and Gary Hirschberg at venues ranging from eBay to Clif Bar to the HP Garage.
In rapid response to the devastation of Hurricane Sandy, PRCO launched a holiday-themed “Very Jersey Xmas” campaign to fundraise for hurricane relief.
We rallied a band of Jersey expats across the country to host a series of creative, Jersey-themed fundraisers, launched our own crowdfunding campaign, promoted dozens of other fundraising efforts and hosted our own Bay Area benefit where hundreds of partygoers dressed in Jersey garb, danced to Bruce Springsteen, enjoyed Jersey-themed merriment and raised more than $10,000.
Teaming up with our friends at WHM Creative, PRCO produced an inventive TED parody event – “FRED” (Frivolity Revelry Eating and Drinking) – at a local fair trade chocolate factory. From tagline (“Ideas Worth Writing on a Cocktail Napkin”) to 18-minute FRED Talk, we mimicked the TED concept and used the event to raise funds for Haiti earthquake relief.
Hundreds of amused and inspired guests enjoyed the frivolity, revelry, eating and drinking, and the opportunity to engage in creativity for a cause.
